MinistriesMulticultural ministry:Considering the demographic nature of our community in Brockton, Grace Chapel is committed to preaching a theology that honors and respects the uniqueness of individual persons and cultures in Christ Jesus. Our congregation reflects the diversity of the community of Brockton as we have members from different countries and cultures; we are blessed with the faithful and seekers from America, Cape Verde, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, and Trinidad. We are committed to celebrating the important dates and independence of each country represented within our congregation. We also organize an annual cultural day event that brings all countries together to talk about the glories and challenges of their countries. Grace Chapel is a house of prayer for all nations. Women:As our society continues to witness the oppression against women, Grace Chapel is committed to women's empowerment through prayers, counseling, seminars, lectures and other resources that can help to improve the dignity of women in our society. We are committed to help single mothers find spiritual resources that will help them stay focused, be productive and raise godly children. Children and Youth:Like women, children and youth are the most vulnerable in our society. Many children are raised by single mothers, leaving the kids with no father role models. The modern culture that promotes individual autonomy also puts such children at a disadvantage, as they grow into responsibilities before they are fully ready. Grace Chapel is committed to mentoring youth through the curriculum of the Boys and Girls Brigade, an international interdenominational Christian organization, with the goal of building future leaders and supporting at-risk youth in our community. Young Adults Skype Ministry:Maturity is the ability to balance between the ideal and reality. Breaking the silence, especially on sensitive, emotional and controversial issues, is the goal of our Skype conversation. Many lives, families, relationships and marriages have been healed and liberated from ignorance and oppression through these conversations. All young adults, singles and young couples are invited to join our conversation on Skype every Sunday evening. Come and share your ideas and also learn from others . . . you don't have to go through life all alone. People call in from the UK, Canada, Nigeria, Finland, Maryland, Connecticut, Maine, Arkansas and California. Join us on Skype by adding "Grace Chapel Brockton" to your Skype account. Hospital & Visitation Ministry:The shut-ins in our community include those in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, group homes, shelters and rehabilitation centers. Blessed with the experience of hospital chaplaincy of our missioner, Grace Chapel is committed to all the faithful who are homebound. We bring the Word of God and Holy Communion to those who desire it and to those who, because of their situation, cannot come to the Church. Please feel free to contact us for spiritual visitation for anyone who might desire it. Evangelism & Outreach:Going from door to door and various stores, laundromats and common places, and spreading the good news of God's love and redemption is our commitment at Grace Chapel. We are not ashamed to declare to this generation that Jesus is Lord and that God's love is for everyone. Healing Ministry:Our human life is characterized by both gifts and brokenness; we are people of blessings and liabilities and also of weaknesses and strengths. It is human to experience challenges and stress in the daily discharge of our duties; it is therefore necessary to find a place of refuge and renewal of strength, especially when the burden of life becomes too heavy to bear. Grace Chapel is committed to bringing spiritual and emotional healing to people in our community during our weekly services. Come and be made whole! Music Ministry:"He has put a new song in our mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see it and fear, and put their trust in the Lord." (Psalms 40:3) Worship is more than a song. It is our lifestyle. The songs we offer up in worship during ministrations are part of a lifestyle of worship. But a lifestyle of worship is something we live out 24/7, not just on Sunday morning. Worship is prayer, preaching, testimonies, God's Word, caring for others, and of course, the songs we offer in praise and worship. Our goal is to bring people to experience God's presence in a new and fresh way with messages of hope, comfort, and encouragement through our ministry of Praise & Worship sessions, Special numbers, Instrumentals, Choir ministry and Concerts as well as Worship events. Please join us every Thursday night as we build a people of praise to our God. Pastoral Care:Life is a journey and our faith needs nurturing. Do you need personal prayers or pastoral visitation? Do you have an elderly or sick person who needs to receive Holy Communion? Do you need to share something deep in your heart with someone?
